LK Gupta is a Herndon, Virginia-based fine artist who transitioned to a full-time art career in 2019 following a long corporate tenure. Originally from New Delhi, India, Gupta is a self-taught artist who further refined his technical expertise by earning a diploma from the National Institute of Fine Arts (NIFA) in Gurgaon, India.

His work “Three Sisters” was awarded 2nd place by Hill Centre Galleries 2026 Juried Show in Washington DC . Teravarna Gallery awarded him talent prizes for his paintings Dagger Queen and Three Sisters via an international juried competition (2026).

“My artistic philosophy centers on the exploration of human moods, grace, dignity, and vulnerabilities. While I work with graphite, oils and pastels, I specialize in the use of colored pencils to create evocative imagery that veers away from traditional portraiture.”
